Faust goes to the house of Margaret in the company of
Mephistopheles. They meet Valentin, the brother of Margaret,
who feels strongly about the "honour" of his
sister. Today it's probably not easy to understand, because
as said before in the German society this kind of behaviour
does not exist anymore. Still, there are ethnical groups
also within the German society that still feel the same
way. In his desire to take revenge on Faust for what he
did to his sister, Valentin attacks him. Mephistopheles
kills him with the help of magic. This actually shows
us, that fundamentalism is something very archaic in the
                        psychology of mankind.
